It’s been a long time since I last wrote a blog. I tried being a Healthy Living Blogger (riiiiiight) and a Photography Blogger (because I like my camera) and neither of those things really panned out. I didn’t have the material or the dedication to blogging 5 days a week, which seemed to be the norm in the blog-o-sphere. I also have a full-time job, which sort of gets in the way of developing extensive blogging habits.

Last year when I was training for the Jimmy Fund Walk with my friends and teammates Jen and Chris, I thought “a blog would be really helpful to keep all of the awesome people who donate to me up-to-date on how training is going, how much money I’m raising, and our events and all that good stuff.” It seemed to be a little late in the game to start a blog when it was already the end of the summer. I decided to wait.

On January 5th, I’ll be signing up for the 2016 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. I’m excited to walk for my third year on Team Collier. I’m excited to see if I can raise more than last year’s total of $3906 and change. I’m excited to share the experience here as well as information on how to donate, how the team is doing, and how Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund are using the money raised.

Feel free to share this site with your friends and family, and thanks for reading!

  1. Congratulations on the blog and the fundraising/walk! This is inspiring, and I hope the weather gets better for you (for all of us!) soon!

    1. Thank you! I hope it does, too! I’m going to start training in the gym…but eventually the walks require more than a treadmill. I can’t imagine walking for more than 1-2 hours on a treadmill, haha.
